The Ravaged Valley

An extremely hostile area, few live near this harrowing forest. In the edges of the forest are remnants and ruins that indicate that some of the folks who once lived on the ancient plateau may have migrated here before their great fall. Unfortunately, they discovered that it was an insurmountable task before them, the wilderness proved to be rife with toxic and carnivorous plants, unfamiliar and inexplicable diseases, not to mention the strange and frightening creatures that roam its woods. Experts theorize that the after-effects of whatever great catastrophe turned the plateau into the chaotic wastelands it is today leaked into the Chepagula Wilderness leaving it forever changed. There are rumors of many a village on the outskirts of the forest that has disappeared overnight, overtaken by the hunger of the wilderness.
