The Oceans of the Elemental Plane of water are nigh endless. A need to breathe the water and a resistance to both the cold and pressure are required to dive into the dark depths.

During the coldest, darkest part of Winter, at the deepest point of the ocean, a rift opens naturally into a point within the Elemental Plane of Water. Oftentimes the energy that is tied to the plane surges forth and one can find the rains pouring down and revealing much that is hidden under sands, dirt and other materials the water can get into. Stories talk of always being able to find the lost things when the snow thaws.
