The Krakenguard
The Krakenguard is an organized armada of captained crews that serve underneath the banner of the Pirate King. Their sigil is that of a golden kraken against a navy blue flag. They fight with honor and have no tolerance for cowardice or cruelty, and they fight against crews that favor needless thievery and destruction. Their primary territory is around the Kuokoa Isles and Ocean's Edge.
Reaver
Prerequisites: 10 Renown
Reavers make up the manpower of Krakenguard crews. They perform basic duties like caring for the ships and following the orders of their superiors. As a reaver, the old magic that protects the Krakenguard now burns within you, too.
Shipwright’s Intuition: Gain proficiency in one of the following tools: navigation tools, water vehicles, cook’s utensils, or carpenter’s tools.
Waterborne: You gain a swimming speed of 30ft. If you already have one, it increases by 10ft.
Wayfarer
Prerequisites: 20 Renown, your own ship
Wayfarers serve as navigators for the armada’s ships, and supervise all activities while aboard. Depending on the size of the ship and crew, they could have one or several duties. They report to the First Mate or the Captain.
King’s Favor: When you travel to any location from Coralis, it costs half as much as you travel there under the grace of the Pirate King. This is applicable to 3 travels per month. When traveling please note that you are using this feature in the post.
Making Waves: You are given command of one medium ship. It costs half as much to maintain the crew of this ship.
First Mate
Prerequisites: 30 Renown, your own ship
After Captain, the First Mate has the most authority on a ship. As a Captain's right hand, they are in charge when the Captain is not around. The First Mate has the authority of the Captain behind them, and can punish unruly Krakenguard for not obeying commands.
Winds of Fortune: Whenever you send a ship out to collect money through DT, it takes half as much time to complete its journey.
Krakenspite: When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can use your reaction to immediately add 3d6 lightning damage to the attack. You can use this ability twice, and it recharges after 1d4+1 long rests.
Captain
Prerequisites: 45 Renown
Captains are skilled in both commanding and navigating a ship. They must have courage and skill in combat. Captains have absolute control over their ship in battle. Outside of battle, many lead their crew more democratically, however there are a few which lead with an iron fist. In absence of leadership, a fitting Captain may be elected by the crew of a ship to fill the role.
Leviathan Magic: You can cast the control weather spell once per long rest. When you cast it, it requires no concentration.
Kingsguard: You are given command of three large ships. It costs half as much to maintain the crew of each ship.
