The Silk's Den & Fredrick's Emporium

The Silk's Den

Established five years ago, the Silk’s Den is one of Embris’s top manufacturers for children’s toys and sweets. The main headquarters are located on Coralis, whilst factories are staged in the heavily industrialized sector of Croit. The company is rather new, but aggressive in its selling endeavors. Extravagant events and specials is what makes the Silk’s Den popular amongst children, and they time their special sales during holiday or festival seasons. Every two-three months, a new product is launched and children from all over the city or outside of Coralis come to visit. The advertisement has generated a lot of income for the island. Their logo is represented with a spider holding a colorful lollipop. Their mascot’s name is Webster the Spider, and there are stuffed toys dedicated to this beloved character.

Currently, the Silk’s Den holds a monopoly over Coralis as the main seller for children’s toys and sweets, with branch stores in Goraj, Pathyrus, and Croit. The company represents the toy and sweet business within the continent of Volandra, and is quite an aggressive, young company. The lack of experience is what drives the Silk’s Den into making bold choices. The Silk’s Den’s view’s its competitor, Fredrick’s Emporium, as a threat. Currently, it is eyeing up to set up a shop in Gravitas before the Emporium can. The younger corporation will do whatever is necessary to gain a foothold in the city. There are whispers that the Silk’s Den’s unethical practices are going to get them in trouble someday, but this has yet to be proven.

Fredrick's Emporium

Established 30 years ago, Fredrick’s Emporium has become a leading figure in innovative home-wear, research, and house-hold products. The main headquarters are in Goraj, with factory stages in the heavily industrialized sector of Croit. The company’s knowledge of innovation and machinery, which has produced some of today’s modern technologies used for research, cooking, and more. The standardized logo is printed on every product, either on their packaging or on the product itself. Frederick's Emporium is proud of their heritage and often participates in acts of charity for the city of Goraj whenever the city requires help. Their acts of charity have not gone unnoticed. Fredrick’s Emporium hosts an annual sale every season, and does a special sale during their anniversary. Their logo is represented as a hat with glasses. Their mascot is Quinny the Inventor, named after their beloved founder who passed ten years ago.

Currently, Fredrick’s Emporium holds a monopoly over Goraj, with overseas shipping available and branch stores in Coralis, Pathyrus, and Croit. Their ability to ship to other continents has made them most popular, and often advertised in other cities. While their marketing goals are much more creative than others, it has gained the jealousy of the Silk’s Den. They do not view the Silk’s Den as a threat, but more as a thorn in their side, as the younger corporation has been finding ways to steal potential clients. They believe that the Silk’s Den is responsible for overseas shipment issues and more, but this has yet to be proven. Fredrick’s Emporium is working to set up a storefront in Gravitas, and before the Silk’s Den to capture new clients. There are rumors that the company has been stealing secrets from the Silk’s Den to create their own line of sweets and toys, but has yet to be proven.
