The Ruined Land

A desolate wasteland filled with ruins of some ancient civilization. Not much is known as to what caused the end of this civilization, but ancient texts found by brave explorers suggest the civilization fought a war against the dragons. The end of this war seems to have resulted in a draconic victory judging by their presence within the lands, although the scattered draconian bones and scars to the land suggest it was not without sacrifice. Explorers have noted a strange disturbance in magical energy is present throughout the location. Magic does not function properly or as easily within the Plateau as it does throughout Embris. Many casters find it taking extra energy or just a large amount of luck for their spells to function properly.
