The Heights

Millennia ago these mountains were named for the verdant pastures of the northern lands, and were proud spires reaching into the heavens. Now, what beauty once filled these lands is gone, the great city states of the north collapsed and the people who inhabited these mountains were the first to face the harsh cruelty of the duergar invaders. These peaks are now littered with abandoned mines and ghost towns from another era, as well as terrifying creatures that avoided getting sealed back into the underdark. The name Blythemack Heights is now spoken with a bitter sharpness, a mocking of the naivety of their ancestors.
