Minor Provinces

The Other Provinces

Many of the provinces within the Cinder Confederation are small, maybe the size of a few towns. While others are from larger countries but may not have the population to hold a large sway in the federal legislature.

Hydrus

While Hubranch to the South focuses on cattle and farming the land, Hydrus’ focus is on fishing and general seafaring. The province’s west border is outlined by the northeast edge of the Lake of Wishes, and its east border is the sea.

Blythedale

In the years after the War of the Surface the menagerie of hardy folks leftover formed their own small province within the ruins of the Blythemack Heights. It was a mixture of those civilians who survived the war, folks who planted their feet and stood tall with proud stubbornness rather than flee from their ancestral homes, and hardy veterans sent from Hubranch and Bolandy, working together to reform their broken villages. Centuries later they stand vigilant over the old seal with a mighty fortress, where they wait and watch for more terrors from beneath the mountain to leak through the seal.

The primary languages of Blythedale are Common, with the other major language being Dwarvish.

Glenshae

In the western section of Dartleheim Forest the folks of Glenshae have lived peaceful lives, throughout the centuries they have nurtured a great understanding between themselves and the firbolgs and other mysterious denizens of the forest. While the loggers of Bolandy have developed a cordial working relationship with the people of Glenshae, the folks from the city mock them as ridiculous and backwards for their odd sect of faith. Those within Glenshae worship the three sacred beasts of the forest as guardians and offer their prayers to spirits dwelling in their forest rather than the great pantheon of the seasons. The sacred beasts are the great bear, Boru; the great boar, Nago, and the great wolf; Moro. They are rarely seen, and many outside of Glenshae claim them to either be myths or mindless beasts, the truth of their nature is a mystery.

The primary languages of Glenshae are Common and Gnomish, with other major languages in the province being Elvish and Giant.
