The Outer Planes

Ying Yang style energy vortex places that exist outside the elemental planes that ‘fly around’ the Astral Sea trying to find ways to break into the Material Plane and do what they do best.

Hells/Chaotic Energies

The Hells of Embris are different, as all worlds have their own heaven and hell, so does Embris, but since the souls usually return to the cycle, the Hells don’t have any souls to punish or really deal with, so they found themselves forming from the energies and sitting in a plane that doesn’t get much activity, but the creatures there often have the ability to meddle with the Material Plane, but can’t get there.

Escaping this ‘Lower Plane’ is nearly impossible for the creatures of Hell without outside help. While living on the plane, the creatures have gathered energy, or a polarity, that causes a minor issue with the energy surrounding the plane. The ‘Ordered Energy’ around the plane that is picked up while it spins around in The Astral Sea. When combined with the ‘Chaotic Energy’ it creates a violent reaction, usually resulting in the irreparable permanent death of the Demon/Devil or other creature that attempted to escape. Powerful fiends have gained power through the accumulation of this chaotic energy over time that results in a more violent reaction when they attempt to escape.

The lower caste of fiends can slip through with their feeble energies, but on a very rare occasion a powerful fiend might escape...

Heavens/Ordered Energies

The Heavens of Embris are calm and serene, with the soft glowing light of the holy creatures that live there. In the same position as the ‘Lower Plane’ or ‘Hells’ with the ‘Ordered Energy’ infusing into the creatures that live there. The entities that live on this plane are calmer and less likely to try and escape compared to their counterparts in Embris’ Hells, but they do look into the Material Plane and there are, reportedly, a few teams of cheer squads that cheer on certain groups or adventurers.

The Heavens have an unwritten accord with the Hells, both planes spin around in The Astral Sea, and neither can slow down or speed up without the others doing the same, as such they are protected from the creatures outside, but cannot escape themselves.

Rarely, an Angel is picked and reshaped to work under one of the gods, or demigods.
